Loreal Eau De Teint product review

Loreal Eau De Teint

Price £9.99

Hey guys,

When I heard there was an Armani foundation dupe on the market for under a tenner I was uber excited. Not that I’ve ever owned an armani anything but nevertheless I had to get involved.

The bottle is sleek glass which looks very beautiful however means that a lot of product is wasted. This is because you cannot cut off the end and scrape every last morsel out. The product has an open neck top where you pour the formula out. The instructions show you tip this onto your finger and apply to the face. I found this to be quite wasteful as you often dispense more than that is required. I truly believe a pump would improve this product.

The formula itself is very light. The consistency is similar to water. I could not apply with my normal brushes as it was just absorbed like a sponge. I did not like the feeling particularly and found it smelt off. When applied to my face, I noticed it settled in my pores and claimed squatters rights. It clung to my dry patches and felt very flakey. I found I had to apply a lot of concealers over blemishes as it did not have buildable coverage.
As you can see this is not my favourite product, my liquid blush did not mix well with this formula either. When my benetint was applied over the top it separated, imagine oil and water leaving me with patchy cheeks.
Absolutely horrid.
The colour choices all have this orange tinge to them which ramps up the David Dickinson effect as well as being patch.
It does have an SPF18 which is the only redeeming feature I can think of with this product.

Such a shame as I was expecting huge things from this but am sadly disappointed. For me it was a complete waste of a tenner.

  1. I’ve seen this product around, but never tried it. Thanks for your review, though, because now I know not to waste my money on it.

Try returning it if you’re not impressed with it!

  2. I’m sorry for such a bad feeling with this product. I swatched this at the beauty counters many times, but it never convinced me, there’s something with its texture that made me think ‘No, No’ everytime. Thanks for sharing your review, I’m sure it will help somebody else not to have a similar disappointment at the end.
